Low Budget diy cnc machine This has taken a little more of my time. The mechanics were defective ink-jet printers. Where necessary they got extra linear guides. There were servo-driven printers which got a stepper and gearing. A standard atx powersupply is powering the machine. The z-axis is a modified cdrom laser unit. The mill is a mini-drill with flexible shaft attached. Stepper controllers/drivers are replica from pminmo. They are very reliable. The computer is a 1GHz Dell, it has the emc²ubuntu installed. The 3-dimensional GUI axis runs slow but usable.
